Seat Belt Retractor Box Mounted High or Low?

Choose Low if there is sufficient room for the 4" x 4" x 3" retractor box near the floor, or choose High if there isn't enough room. Just click on the appropriate diagram!

3 Point Floor Retractor Seat Belt Bucket or Bench
Choose this if there is enough room near the floor to mount the 4" x 4" x 3" retractor box.

Some convertible cars, some vehicles older than approximately 1972 and sports cars and roadsters that have sufficient space near floor for the retractor box. Also, hardtops such as older Camaro, Mustang, Falcon, Firebird and Nova's that have been retrofitted or will be retrofitted for a shoulder bolt anchor point.

Roadster 3 Pt Retractable Seatbelt Bucket or Bench
Choose this if there is NOT enough room near the floor to mount the 4" x 4" x 3" retractor box.

Sports cars, roadsters, and other convertibles, some mid to late 1970's Ford trucks that do NOT have sufficient space near floor for the retractor box. Including most MG's, Triumph, Ausin Healy Sprite, Alfa Romeo, Fiat, Spitfire, some years and models of Corvette and more that have been retrofitted or that will be retrofitted for a seat belt shoulder bolt anchor point.
