1973 - 1980 square body trucks

I own several chevy square body trucks from 1973 - 1980. I have already installed the 4 Point Seat Belts in two of my trucks to take the place of the center lap belt. I just purchased a 1977 chevy so I'm ordering another set. Installation requires drilling just one hole and using existing mounts. Super easy and much safer than just a lap belt. Excellent product!

More comfort, more safety. What's not to like?

My boyfriend recently purchased a classic car and, as a trauma/ER RN I was horrified to discover that there were no shoulder belts. After nearly breaking my foot off in his place where the sun doesn't shine for having driven it home not properly restrained, I informed him that neither of us was going anywhere in it until shoulder belts were installed and then immediately?set about finding some.??
What I found and ordered were these, and I could not be more satisfied. They don't retract, so at first they feel a little confining, but you quickly get used to the feeling of being firmly harnessed into your seat and when you?do, it makes you feel much more secure, hence much safer and hence much more comfortable. I now feel almost unsafe and not-quite-comfortable in my own car with its comparatively?flimsy inertia-reel belt and am considering purchasing some of these for it.?
? ?In my opinion as a trauma nurse, all new cars should be required to be fitted with these as stock. Not only do they feel safer, studies have shown that, in fact, four point belts *are* safer. They could save many lives and it's a scandal that they haven't yet been mandated by the government.

Great upgrade

My boyfriend has a truck made wheeling rig. I love going with him, but the tattered lap belt seemed in adequate. As a precaution we both wear helmets on the more challenging trails. After my helmeted head made contact on a recent ride I requested a belt upgrade. (Well i ordered the wesco 4 point and demanded its installation;). It got installed fairly quick it seems very secure and i love the adjustability. Some times i do loosen the shoulder straps and only keep the lap snug. It has saved the bacon many times. And yes i do still occasionally wear the helmet.

Very strong belts

We have a street legal dune buggy that had no belts. A few months ago my husband installed a roll bar and 2 sets of these belts but had still not replaced the seatbelts. I could tell my husband was happy to finally have a useable seat belt as he did his up tightly every trip. At first i never wore mine unless he insisted and even then it was so loosely adjusted it would be of no use. However after a near miss where i almost went through the windshield and my firmly belted husband did not move I decided to adjust my belt up and automatically put it on every time. It is secure and very safe.

The seat belts work fine, but the plastic keepers for the spare webbing break in the cold winter.otherwise, 5 starts in my book. (need four replacement keepers) Don

Industrial Seat Belt

This seat belt seems to be good quality and was easy to install. My kid is not the biggest fan since it is not retractable, but I feel way safer with this than the lap belt the manufacturer supplied. An easy choice to protect precious cargo!

Very easy install, about 20 minutes. Definitely makes the flip up seat under the console useable. The lap belt only, provided by the manufacturer, was definitely not good enough for my daughter. She is happy with it.

Great seatbelt and works well for it's intended purpose. The only feedback that I'd give is that it would have been really nice if I didn't need to drill an extra hole in my truck to mount the center strap (that goes behind the seat). I would think that engineers could design that so it uses the same bolt holes that mount the sides.

Harness review

Outstanding product !!!! Needed a method to secure our grandkids in the rear seat of our 67 Chevelle wagon. The product works great, we can now take the kids with us knowing that they are secure and safe in the back seat. Well done !!!!!!

Very secure belt

After i became pregnant the hubbs installed some lap belts in the bronce for me. At first they were fine but by my second trimester i was increasingly nervous about not having any upper body restraint. My husband found and installed one of these for me and i love it. No longer worried about hurting the baby

Did not have shoulder harness in the centre rear seat of my 2002 Silverado extended cab. I was concerned about the safety of my grandkids. This four point harness bolted right in and works perfectly for my seven-year-old grandson.

Great for a vintage car!

Bought this for a 32 ford business coupe after a short stop put the wife into the dash. She refused to ride until I installed a seat belt. It currently had none and she also wanted a shoulder belt. I found this and was abl to get a solid installation. I keep it tucked behind the passenger seat except when the wife is in the car. She likes the fact it keeps her firmly in the seat. Thankfully we have not crash tested it yet

I purchased this seat belt for the middle rear position of my 2001 Silverado. The instructions were great, the hardware kit included everything I needed, and the gray color matches the rest of the truck. Now my daughter can ride safely in the back seat.

Seat Belts

The lap belt on the 4 point harnes fits well but the shoulder harnes could be longer by at least 6 inches. I have short legs and a long torso and the shoulder strap is extended to its limit.
