Each forklift seat belt is BOTH "Circuit Open" and "Circuit Closed".

Your choice of either 6 inch, 9 inch or 12 inch long buckle end. Click to See!

These 2" wide belts are retractable and have a 3-wire micro-switch that makes sure that your forklift driver buckles up before driving the lift.

Circuit Open: means that the seat belt must be buckled up before the motor will start, preventing drivers from moving the vehicle until they are buckled up.
Or
Circuit Closed: means that if the seat belt is not buckled when the motor is started, then a bell/buzzer can sound alerting that the driver isn't buckled up.

Wiring Diagram and Instructions show you how to easily wire the belt for either open or closed!

These forklift seat belts work with 12V & 24V Systems.

These are 2-point lap belt only (no shoulder strap) retractable belts. Available in the colors Black and Orange. Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS) #209 & #302 Approved and meets Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) J386 specs.

  • Webbing (belt) Extends 41-43 inches out of the retractor unit. Add the length of the female buckle end for the Total length from mounting hole to mounting hole.

    We ordered two and one had a defective switch so we had to order a third. The third came in and was fine. All in all they work well and do as intended.

    Seat belt works as it should

    I found that ordering was easy and pricing was fare. Glad to see this was a product made in the USA. Orange seat belts really help you to see if your drivers are using the belt as they should. One thing I have found that I don't like about these belts is they tend to get bound up on the retract. This causes them to hand out of the retractor and will ultimately cause the belt to fail as they will rub the material until it starts to fray requiring replacement. I have other belts on lifts that do not do this regardless of how you let the belt retract.

    Hi Steve, So sorry to hear about the problem with your retractable seat belt. Please check to see if the installation of the seat belt was done in a way that when the occupant pulls the seat belt across the body, the belt is exiting straight out of the retractor. Not on an angle. If it is coming out on an angle it can cause the retractor to malfunction with time.
